CD+G - Compact
Discs with Graphics. This format is by far the most popular
format (Also commonly referred to as CD+G, cd+g, cd g and CD+graphics).
CD+G discs need CD+G Karaoke players. The words are shown on a TV
screen and the sound comes from the karaoke player and TV or alternatively
through your stereo (CD+G discs will work in a normal cd player
but no graphics would be displayed).
Please note: CD+G discs will not work in DVD players unless the karaoke DVD player specifies it will. Likewise DVD karaoke
discs do not work in CD+G karaoke players (unless stated).
DVD - DVD
Karaoke Discs. Karaoke DVD format is an increasingly popular
format. The advantage of these discs is that they can play on your
standard DVD player as well as dedicated karaoke DVD players.
Please note: DVD discs will not work in CD+G players. Some karaoke DVD players, will also
play CD+G discs and VCD discs, but they will specify on the DVD
player if they do. |
